The Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL) certification is an EPA WaterSense labeled program. It provides landscape professionals with 20 hours of education on principles of proper plant selection for the local climate, irrigation system design and maintenance, and irrigation system programming and operation. Through this hands-on course, professionals will understand the particular characteristics of their clients' sites and plants, thus maximizing the use of limited water resources and helping clients save on their water bill. Please sign up at least a week in advance to ensure you receive your books in time for the course.
The fee is $50 per person. You may mail a check made out to Chino Basin Water Conservation District at 4594 San Bernardino St. Montclair, CA 91763 prior to the first day of the class or pay in person. No cash will be accepted.
